Quicken disables software to force upgrade

I've seen software companies stoop to questionable tactics to 'encourage' upgrading before, but this takes all.
Intuit software is disabling the online bill pay feature for users of Quicken 2002 because the version is 'too old.' The
boingboing reader who reported the news said the bill pay transactions are handled by the bank and don't even pass through Intuit, which suggests the only interest Intuit has in terminating the software is to force users to upgrade.

Anybody using Quicken 2002? Anybody hopping mad?
