Gateway's latest laptops: The 3081GZ, 4042GZ, 4540GZ, 7422GX, and 7320GZ
Gateway popped out five new laptops this morning:
The 3018GZ, a 14.1-inch widescreen laptop that's 1.2-inches thick, weighs 5.25 pounds, has built-in 802.11g, a DVD/CD-RW combination drive, and a 4-in-1 flash memory card reader. Retail price: $999.99.
The 4042GZ and 4540GZ, both of which are 1-inch thick, weigh 5.5 pounds, and have a 15-inch LCD screen, built-in 802.11g, multi-format DVD+/-RW drive, and 4-in-1 flash memory card reader. Retail price for each: $1,049.99.
The 7422GX and 7320GZ, a couple of larger laptops on the desktop replacement tip, each comes with a six-in-one flash memory card reader, double-layer DVD+/-RW reader, 15.4-inch widescreen LCD, built-in 802.11g, with your choice of a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64-bit 3400+ processor. Main difference between the two is that the 7422GX gets an
ATI Mobility RADEON 9550 graphics card while the 7320GZ sports an Intel Extreme Graphics 3D card.
