Olympus's tough R1000 CE (or Linux) handheld

You're going to have to forgive a small bit of confusion on this one, but there are a few things we do know about the Olympus R1000—that the CE .NET 4.2 or Linux 2.4.18 Qtopia-based handheld has a 3.5-inch 65k color translfective QVGA, between 64-128MB RAM, 64-256MB ROM, Bluetooth, 802.11b, and, of course, a 12-hour li-polymer battery. Oh, and that it's oh-so-very ruggedized, and can apparently withstand a 4-foot drop to the cold, hard concrete below. Unfortunately, we're not sure why there's been so much buzz about this guy since according to Olympus's site,
it's been around since April of last year. Either way, if it is headed Stateside we ain't complaining.
