Pokemon causes cancer? Yes.

Scientists working out of the Memorial Sloan-Ketting Cancer Center have singled out a new cellular oncogene.  Say what?

Seeing as this is a video game blog, we'll keep this short & sweet: "Oncogenes are genes that, when mutated or dysfunctional, lead normal cells to become cancerous."  The scientists have named this recently discovered oncogene, POKEMON (for POK Erythroid Myeloid Ontogenic factor).   So yes, no need to fret, your little Pokemon addiction is safe, we suppose.
