Wal-Mart to sell the iPod shuffle?

In yet another sign that Apple is trying to move mass market
(Target selling—and then pulling—the Mac mini was another), there's word over at AppleInsider that mega-retailer Wal-Mart is going to start selling the
iPod shuffle in its stores. No specific details about how much this could potentially add to Apple's quarterly sales tally, but it wouldn't be out of line for Wal-Mart to order over a quarter-million units. The real question, though, is whether all the hardcore OG iPod fans feel comfortable carrying around a player that's sold at Wal-Mart.
