Mac mini released in India

Yesterday saw the launch of the Mac mini in India at an entry-level price of Rs 32,200. Apple's Asia Pacific head of hardware, EY Yeo, told the press the Mac mini is "aimed at existing PC users who want to get started with Mac OS X and first time users."

The iPod shuffle also debuted on the subcontinent, priced at about half of what existing iPods cost there. Yeo notes Apple is acting on a strategy to increase its reach in the global market, by opening more channels to make products more accessible.
