Octave Systems' Multipod camera/flash drive review
We're suckers for all-in-one gadgets that claim to handle the functions of many separate devices— real
suckers, since most of the time, these hybrids don't perform any of their claimed functions all that well. We're starting to catch on, though, so we weren't surprised to see The Gadgeteer refer to Octave Systems' Multipod — which is a USB flash drive/digital still camera/webcam/digital video camera/voice recorder — as a "jack of all trades but only a master of some." We suppose that's better than being a master of none, but we agree that for $150, the 0.7 ounce, 3 1/2 inch Multipod isn't too bad a deal, though for a little more money, we'd probably prefer Philips' much more stylish
GoGear wearable camera. It also works as a flash drive and video camera and takes much better pics.
