Hasbro launches gaming console
Hasbro Inc., second only to Mattel in toy production, is gearing up for its entry into the gaming industry... rather, the "electronic learning toy" industry. Meet the ION
($119.99), the educational gaming console that features a motion-sensitive camera (think: Sony's EyeToy). The games ($17.99) are based on popular TV shows (e.g. SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer & Blue's Clues).
Sure the ION sounds kinda cool, but c'mon now, it ain't got nothin' on Captain Power & the Soldiers of the Future.
