Nextlink plans Bluetooth cellphone/audio-player headset

Nextlink, which makes the super-small
Bluespoon headset, is working on a combo headset that will work with both cellphones and portable audio players. While that might sound a lot like the
Plantronics MX-100s, the Nextlink headset (due out in August, and nicknamed the Bluespoon Spider by the folks at PhoneMag) fixes what's wrong with the Plantronics and other similar units. Yeah, it's Bluetooth. As long as you've got a Bluetooth-enabled audio player (and we've certainly seen a
lot of those lately) and a Bluetooth cellphone, you just need one Spider headset to connect to both. It can also integrate with a pair of sunglesses,
Oakley Thump-style, though we're still not sold on that.  And, yes, it answers another wishlist item: It'll automatically mute your music when a call comes in.
