MSNBC reviews the Garmin iQue M5

We've been considering picking up a
Garmin iQue GPS unit for a while, and have almost made that final click to buy one a few times — especially since the price on the Palm-based
iQue 3200 has dropped to as low as $350 lately. However,
according to MSNBC tech columnist Gary Krakow, we'd be making a big mistake. He recently took a look at the Pocket PC-powered iQue M5 and gave it a rave review. His verdict: that it's a "supercharged" PDA. His reasoning: "The best part is that the M5 has all the features Pocket PC
owners love." So, there you go. If you like the Pocket PC, you'll love the M5 (as long as you don't mind laying down about $600 for it). If, on the other hand, you're perfectly happy with the Palm OS, you can save some change and get one of the Palm versions. If you're not sure, go ahead and read Krakow's review — which also covers a lot of the M5's other features like its dual processors — and isn't just a paean to the Windows Mobile OS.
