Samsung + cellphone gaming = ?

This same rumor popped up right before E3, too, but supposedly Samsung is going to introduce some sort of "mobile-related games product" in Europe later this year and that they're partnering with a "leading game firm" that will develop content for this new handheld device. Are they planning to go head-to-head against Nintendo and Sony and come out with some sort of standalone portable console or are they going to follow Nokia down the same very dangerous road trod by the
N-Gage and unveil a new gamephone?
Probably neither, it sounds more like they could simply be working on adding better gaming functionality to their regular handsets. Or something along those lines.
