Voom = Dead, then undead, now dead again
Satellite HDTV service Voom seemed pretty dead after Cablevision announced they were selling its sole satellite to Echostar. Then there was a chance it was going to be
raised from the dead by Cablevision founder and chairman Charles Dolan, who announced he was going to buy
Voom's remaining assets from his own company and relaunch the service. That's not happening. He wasn't able to pull it off, and Cablevision says they're going to shut Voom down completely after a 30-day "transition period."
