Cartoon Network is looking for some hungry talent at GDC
We just got a press release that's actually kind of nifty. It looks like Cartoon Network is shopping around for developers. The channel will offer its stable of characters to an independent developer, giving them the chance to strut their stuff in front of the millions of people who visit their site.
Cartoon Network announced today that the 2nd annual "Project Goldmaster" competition will be held in conjunction with the 7th annual Independent Games Festival (IGF). The network will offer one up-and-coming game developer the opportunity to create a downloadable game featuring popular Cartoon Network characters from a variety of the network's original series. The winner will be announced during the 2005 Game Developers Conference. Titled "Project Goldmaster", ten finalists will be selected to compete to win the top honor of developing a Cartoon Network Power Play downloadable game to be featured on CartoonNetwork.com.
One of the finalists will be selected as the winner of Project Goldmaster.
