Earthcomber adds sharing features to Palm-based maps

Here's another reason to get a
GPS-enabled PDA: the free Earthcomber mapping software has gone social. Users can now mark and share info, either via their PalmOS PDAs or on Earthcomber's web site, and can make info public, private or accessible only to members of a defined group. (GPS isn't required to use the maps; it just makes it a lot more convenient to navigate.) Uses suggested by the company include shared maps for use by family members, hobbyists like birders and trainwatchers, and convention attendees. We think it may just be the perfect front-end for the GPS-based MoSoSo we've been dreaming about.
