New MoSoSos let you hook up by WiFi

If you like ad hoc gatherings of friends and friends of friends (and would-be friends), you probably already know about MoSoSos, mobile
social-software services, which let you get text alerts on your cellphone letting you know where to go to hook up. But if you're new to social software, or want to check out the latest nets, Wired News has a good rundown of the top services, including a couple of newer ones — Jambo and Plazes —
which rely on WiFi to link you to potential pals. The advantage there is that the software can automatically tell where you are based on your hotspot; cellphone-based services require you to send a message with your approximate location.
We're still waiting for a GPS-enabled MoSoSo, but considering that we don't know too many people with GPS phones, it would probably end up being more of a NoSoSo.
