Study finds high cell usage among teens

A new study has confirmed what should be obvious to anyone who's spent more than five minutes in a mall recently:
kids are as addicted to cellphones as their parents. The survey, NOP World Technology's mKids Study, found that 75% of American 15-17 year olds carry cellphones, and 40% of "tweens" — 12-14 year olds — now use cells (a separate study, by the Yankee Group, found that just 1% of kids under 9 have cellphones, but give them time). The study also found that 71% of teens want their phones to be able to play music,
while 70% want cameraphones (what, nobody wants IM or email?). Given the zeal with which most businesses follow teen tastes, it's a little surprising that so few phones double as audio players, but they're
finally starting to catch up. Now if Moto would only release that iTunes phone already.
