Fraunhofer shows off their Free2C 3D technology -- again
Okay, Fraunhofer Institute, you've done some hot things in the past, and the world will always owe you a debt (or at least licensing fees) for coming up with MP3, but we really need to know what's up with your Free2C 3D technology. You showed it off at CeBIT
last year, and you're exhibiting it again this year.
Meanwhile, the whole 3D-without-glasses thing is becoming so commonplace that it's even showing up on laptops (check out Sharp's Actius AL3D). Don't get us wrong,
herren; the Free2C looks pretty sweet and we like the way it supposedly tracks user movements to maintain 3D
focus — but it would look even sweeter out in the marketplace where it belongs.
