Amp'd Mobile wants you to get amped about EV-DO. If you're 18-35, that is.

Are you ready to get Amp'd? No, seriously, are you ready to get totally Amp'd? No? Too bad, because Amp'd Mobile
(dude, was "Xtreem'd Mobile" already taken?) wants to rock your cellphone multimedia-style. If you're 18 to 35, that is. They're a new wireless carrier for the young people launching later this year that's piggybacking on Verizon's high-speed EV-DO network (the technical term for it is "mobile virtual network operator"—you can ask P. Diddy all about it) in order to create a
"mobile entertainment service for the 'on the go' wireless user." By now you probably know all too well what that all means: pre-packaged two minute video clips, overpriced music downloads, and lots and lots of hip hop. Anyway, they're going to offer both pre-paid and post-paid payment plans, and they're planning to offer handsets from both Kyocera and Motorola when they launch sometime later this year.
