The strange case of the haunted NES deck

A haunted NES desk, you ask? How is it haunted, did a ghost in the machine make it so you can only boot a cart by pressing it down really hard into the system, and then when you let up even just a little it goes into that flashing gray screen? Actually, this thing's supposedly a medium (you know, a vessel through which spirits from beyond can contact the mortal world) which once belonged to a child who died—now up for auction on eBay. We're just inclined to think the seller watched one too many episodes of Aqua Teen.
