FTC rules against CompUSA: pay out your rebates

Dude, who hasn't been burned by a hot rebate on that lust-worthy gadget du jour? Because we don't know anyone who hasn't, and if you've ever been a CompUSA rebate customer, you know that patience is less virtuous than necessity in order of prevention of incarceration. Which is why we're pretty glad the Federal Trade Commission dropped the hammer on CompUSA and their ex house brand Q.P.S. for not honoring rebates—they're being expected to cough up some seriously backdated dough to customers who got stiffed. They didn't release any real numbers right yet, we're pretty sure it's not going to make but a chink in their giant, armored rebate bank accounts.
