Dell ends white-box PC progam

Dell is nixing its white-box PC program, which it hoped would help it compete with smaller PC manufactuers. The progam, which launched in 2002, offered unbranded, low-priced desktops to small mom-and-pop PC shops for them to resell under their own brand. Apparently, they realized that having one of the most recognized brands in the world was a good thing.
