You too can earn big bucks calibrating HDTV sets

So your job's been outsourced and you don't know what to do? Fret not, at least if you've got some technical chops and a sharp eye for for color. According to reports, there's growing demand from well-heeled HDTV customers for calibration experts, who can adjust their sets to improve color, brightness and sharpness, while taking into account ambient lighting and other environmental issues — for fees that range from $225 to over $1,000.  "Technology may be at our fingertips, but many people don't know what buttons to press," Joel Silver, president of the Imaging Science Foundation, told Tribune Newspapers. We're surprised that home-theater installers haven't cornered this market yet, but we're pretty sure they will. So, as they say in the infomercials, ACT NOW, before they do (or at least before those well-heeled customers figure out which buttons to press).
