Heroes of Might & Magic 5 is announced at last

If you're a Might & Magic freak, like me, you'll be delighted to hear this news. Might & Magic V is an inevitability (unless it gets cancelled, of course). The info is sparse, but the official site says the title will include:

"a highly immersive scenario, a variety of appealing factions, modern 3D graphics, a revolutionary tactical combat system and a story-based campaign mode."

Perhaps they could define "a variety of appealing factions" for us. Marketing babble. Bah!

The game will be crafted by Nival Interactive (makers of Blitzkrieg) and is scheduled for release in early 2006.
