Photoshop your GIMP

has the scoop on a new hack that turns your copy of the GIMP into a Photoshop lookalike in OS X.
GIMPshop is a 40MB download that requires X11 to run (I think I
may be spoiled by GIMP.app's non-X11 dependencies).

If you're not familiar with the GIMP, it's the open-source image editing program that can do most of the things (if not all  or more, as some users argue) that Photoshop can at a cost of $0 to you.
