The DZMV730A, Hitachi's new DVD camcorder
You'd figure given how many
Microdrives they sell that they'd have a camcorder with a built-in hard drive out by now, but Hitachi doesn't, so we'll have to content ourselves with the DZMV730A, their latest camcorder which records to mini DVD-R and DVD-RAM discs instead of tape. This one's about 15% smaller than their last DVD camcorder, has 20% longer battery life, an SD memory card slot for taking still pics, a widescreen 2.5-inch LCD screen, and the ability to record in widescreen 16:9 mode (though it doesn't list which resolution it uses for recording in widescreen mode).
