PS3 will be first next-gen out of the gate

Sony has announced that its pre-E3 conference will precede Microsoft's by mere hours.  Set to take place on a sound stage at Sony Picture's Culver City complex,
the event has been hyped as the official unveiling of the PlayStation 3.  However, the 3:00 pm start time may prove burdensome for media types that are also expected to cover the Microsoft—meaning, the Xbox 2—event, which is set to begin at 6:00 pm in downtown LA on the same day, May 16th.  But without a definite confirmation that either next-gen system will be unveiled on that day, the press must choose wisely...
