The electronic jellyfish
What do you get when you combine underwater ethereality, richness of textiles, suspended illumination, robotic curiosity and unpredictability? Obviously: an electronic jellyfish. Christine Liu took a circuit board, some self-programming flash memory, an IR transceiver, fans, motors, propellers, purple LEDs, various fabrics and a clear acrylic base and turned it into an electronic jellyfish with a billowing body that "shocks" when you come too close.
