JVC Everio GZ-MC200 reviewed by Personal Tech Pipeline
It's hard not to like the JVC
Everio. Between its size, its ability to handle both stills and videos and its 4GB of onboard storage, it would seem the perfect camera for the consumer on the go (the well-heeled consumer, that is; if there's one rub, it's the price — up to $1,800, depending on the model). Scott Koegler at Personal Tech Pipeline took a look at the midrange GZ-MC200 and found the video quality to be very good, even when projected onto a 100-inch screen (yeah, don't we all want an Everio and an LCD projector?). Still images, at a mere 2 megapixels were, not surprisingly, somewhat pixelated, but Scott still found them to be acceptable, especially for online use. After reading the review, we still like the Everio, but we can console ourselves with the fact that we can get better quality stills with a
$300 digicam and still take VGA-quality video when we need to.
