Tiger, all about the small touches

I'll admit it, I have Tiger Fever.  I want Tiger, and I want it now. Thanks to all the information available via Apple's website my need for Tiger is increasing as I find out more about what exactly is included in this release.

We all know the big ticket items are Spotlight, Quicktime, and Safari RSS but there smaller changes have me really excited:

  • Print a handy pocket address book from Address Book
  • Applescript Utility to enable GUI  scripting, manage folder actions, and control the system Script menu
  • Create and parse SQLite databases using Applescript
  • A new Dictionary application
  • Spotlight integrated with Open/Save panels
  • Spotlight command line tools
  • Currently playing track in iTunes set in your iChat status
  • Brand new desktop pictures exclusively for Tiger users
