Mitsubishi's vitamin fortifying fridge strikes again


No more scurvy for you! (Not if you're Japanese, anyway.) More than a half a year after we hit you up on
Mitsubishi's vitamin-enhancing refrigerator, it looks like the news is "officially" hitting our shores. The score is the same as before—Mitsubishi's orangey-LED-enabled icechest can bump vitamin C more than 10% in vegetables left in for a couple days—which is excellent for extending a helping hand to one of the only species on the planet that can't synthesize its own ascorbic acid. Too bad, like so many other things, the fridge is still Japan-only.
