Review of Samsung's P207 speech-to-text recognition cellphone
Matt Maier played around with the P207, Samsung's new VGA cameraphone with the built-in speech-to-text recognition software, and discovers that it definitely does work as promised. You do have to spend about three minutes of your life training the phone to recognize your voice, but once you've done that you can actually speak out text messages or emails with little difficulty—or at the very least, with less difficulty than it usually takes to tap out a message on a numeric keypad. The rest of the phone is pretty no-frills, although it does have EDGE.
