Is the Xbox 360 ready for its close up?

Yep, we've seen that close up pic of what is supposedly the
Xbox 360 that is going around, and no, we don't know exactly what it is either. The source of the pic is Microsoft's online teaser game for the new console (found at
ourcolony.net), which means that technically it's not a fake, though whether it's a ruse or a decoy console is another matter entirely (Microsoft isn't above trying to fake us out a little). So what are we looking at? A power button? A removable hard drive? A slideout tray for the optical drive? The only thing we know for certain is that we've all fallen into Microsoft's viral marketing trap, that's for damn sure.

UPDATE: We've just heard from a trusted source that this is indeed the Xbox 360! Here's what they had to say:

That is a real pic. What you see is the hard drive mounted on the end of the Xbox 360. Remember it stands up
right, this is the top, when standing up right. The picture is shot from the same angle as if you were reading the
side of a cereal box but looking at the top.
