Mandylion Password Manager
Just what we all need: yet
another gadget occupying space on our keychains, another device to cart around, keep charged, and worry about when it fails (no, we're not bitter, why do you ask?). On the other hand, the Mandylion Password Manager does offer relief from that which-freaking-sticky-note-did-I-write-that-login-down-on syndrome to which some of us (who, us?) are prone. The Mandylion Password Manager is a device that both generates and stores passwords for retrieval, up to 14 characters in length. It can create passwords based on input criteria (length, special characters, etc.) and prompt you to change your passwords at preset intervals — which you all do currently already, right? Yeah, us neither. Anywho, the data is stored in permanent memory so is not subject to loss by dead battery, and the unit features tamper-resistant controls for potentially more security than your PC or PDA. But at $269 for only 50 logins, the thing is just a bit too rich for our blood.
