LG puts out Health Care Battery Pack for cellphones
The Koreans — they really want to take care of you. LG
in particular seems to be notorious for whipping up strange brews of
health care-related mobiles. The latest is the Health Care Battery Pack for cellphones, which can be used to measure diet, stress level and blood sugar — as well as,
presumably, power your mobile. The pack will come standard with the new LG-KP3400 handset, though we're sort of assuming the pack can be used in other models. Users of the phone will be connected to health services via KTF, Korea's second largest carrier, with the goal of helping busy people prevent such nasties as obesity, stress and diabetes. A
phone that can prevent stress? No way we'll get something so useful in the States.
