Dell's Axim roadmap picks up a hard drive and cellular data
If we're to believe Brighthand's source, it looks like a bit of Dell's Axim roadmap is on the table, and the fate of
X30 is grim. Though it could find itself discontinued in the next month, apparently the X50 will be stickin' around a little while longer, and can even expect a Windows Mobile 2005 (aka Magneto) update. They're also said to be working on a multimedia-centric device with a hard drive, audio and video playback features, as well as a focus on gameplay features (which should take on Palm's new
Tungsten X, of course). It's also supposedly in the cards to hit up something in the way of cellular by 2006—whether or not this is the
Dellphone, we've yet to see. Anyhow, despite generally being totally feasible, excercise some healthy skepticism here people.
