Hitachi FLORA-ie 55mi - XP Pro tablet for verticals

We don't expect to see this anywhere outside of Japan anytime soon, but Hitachi has released a couple of new versions in their FLORA-ie line. Unlike the original handheld
FLORA-ie NX1, which was more of a PDA (it ran Windows Mobile), the new FLORA-ie 55mi runs XP Pro (and can also handle XP Embedded or Linux), and is designed to be a tablet-based solution for vertical markets like healthcare and retail. Two different models differ largely by their wireless configuration — one has WiFi; the other doesn't. Otherwise, both include a Crusoe TM5500 running at 667MHz, a 20GB hard drive and weigh in at about 3.25 pounds (which we think is a little heavy for a machine that has a neckstrap as an option). Pricing is ¥230,000 without WiFi, ¥241,000 with.
