Sprint adding location-based services for roadside and directory assistance

Sprint's been talking up location-based services for about as long as we can remember (which to be honest is only about four or five hours, even on a good day), but it wasn't until yesterday that they got around to doing anything about it, introducing location-enhanced versions of their Directory Assistance and their Roadside Rescue, their roadside assistance program.. Neither service requires your phone to have GPS, both use cellphone tower triangulation to figure out your location. The idea is that when your car breaks down and you don't know where you are they can automatically send help directly to your location, or if you're trying to find something you can call 411 and get turn-by-turn directions on how to get there.
