Apple updates eMacs

So it's not just the iMacs that get to have all the fun today. Apple has also updated the eMac lineup, as expected. The processors have been upped to 1.42GHz, and from there it's your choice between a 256MB RAM/80GB
HD/Combo drive for $799, or a 512MB RAM/160GB HD/8x SuperDrive for $999. If you listen real hard, you can hear the sound of the .edu IT staff scrambling to change their capital acquisition forms at your nearest institute of higher learning.
