Xbox 360 confirmed for 2005, again

At a recent Seattle convention, Mr. Gates reassured us that, "This year [will be year of high-definition], because we're going to ship this next Xbox."  And while this is by no means an absolute certainty, it lends credence to the widespread rumor that the Xbox 360 will ship at the end of 2005.  Gates again stressed that the next-gen console will act as a media hub akin to Windows Media Center.

We'll likely know for sure when MTV unveils the Xbox 360 next Thursday.
