Apple.com posts CNBC Coverage

I noticed this late last night, but was too tired to post about it. This morning we received a tip from Marvo (Thanks, Marvo!), which reminded me of the whole situation. Apple has a little ad on their front page, linking to video they are hosting of CNBC's coverage of Tiger's release. Here's the direct link to the page featuring the video which according to QuickTime Pro's info is 12.52 MBs, two minutes and thirty-five seconds long, and encoded in H.264 at 640 x 480.

Marvo notes, "I thought this was strange. This is the first time I've seen Apple put up something like this on their website." I agree, but the coverage (which you can save to your computer if you have Quicktime Pro) is interesting. CNBC correspondent Jim Goldman starts out by noting "Believe it or not, this could be a more important product for Apple Computer than even iPod, as Microsoft's Longhorn Research and Development continues to languish, this is Apple's fifth new operating system in just four years."

Peek after the jump for a screen grab of the video.
