Tablet Mac Patent

Looks like there's more evidence for the long-lived rumor of there being a tablet Mac on the horizon. The Mac Observer has the scoop (although I originally spotted it on fscklog and while I was reading that, Joey wrote in with a tip pointing to the /. coverage) on a new Apple patent: "Apple Computer was granted a patent for an enigmatically titled 'Electronic device' Tuesday, May 10th, 2005. Illustrations for the device clearly indicate it to be a tablet-style Macintosh, and patent filings specifically compare it to the 'HP Compaq Tablet PC' and several other tablet machines.

This is the one thing that I think *might* ply me away from my devotion to the 12-inch PowerBook.
