Diesel Guard reviewed by Gadgeteer

We recently took a look at the Diesel Guard, a $25 box that shouts at you when you're gassing up to warn you if your car only takes diesel fuel. The Gadgeteer has gone and one-upped us; they actually hooked one up to a car and took it for a spin. Their verdict: It gets the job done. Or, as they put it: "You had better believe that even the most absent-minded idiot would not confuse the type of fuel needed after hearing this warning!" If this catches on, we imagine similar devices for computers ("warning — this tray is not a cupholder!"), cellphones
("warning — inserting a cheap third-party battery might cause this phone to explode") and, of course,
iPod shuffles ("warning — do not eat this audio player!").
