SmartVideo and DMV Network's Verizon V CAST killer

As you may remember, we liked Vcast alright, but even though SmartVideo and Digital Music Video (DMV) Network's new cellphone-centric multimedia service isn't really up in the EV-DO hood right now, it's hard to argue with the freeitude of their product. S'right, if you've got Windows Media Player on your Smartphone or Pocket PC (they're eventually adding support for Palm and Symbian devices) and you've got a 2.5G connection (i.e. EDGE on Cingular, or 1xRTT on Sprint, etc.) you can hit up ad-based free music videos from "virtually all the major labels" instead of ponying up $15 for Verizon's more content complete version. Sounds good to us!
