C|Net Asia looks at Sony NW-HD5, says not bad, not bad
C|Net Asia took a look at Sony's new NW-HD5
player and had some good things to say about it, namely that the battery life is great, sound and build quality are solid, and file transfer is speedy (though not via SonicStage). They call it squarely Sony's best effort yet in the harddrive-based MP3 music player market, giving it thumbs up on the control interface and visual feedback from the display. The G-Sensor orientation detector tended to fall down on the job when the player was oriented upside down or on its back, and also doesn't orient in realtime (it takes one reading when the player is switched on). Other than that, it looks like the NW-HD5 is a fairly respectable offering in the crowded world of DAPs.
