How To: Get great customer support

37 Signals, the awesome team behind Basecamp, Backpack, and Ta-da list, have a must-read post on their blog today about how to GET great customer service.

These tips, although not Apple-specific, will be of great service to you the next time you need to call AppleCare or any other company that you need support from, so I thought I'd draw your attention to it.

Since I'm in the technical support field and have worked more than my share of helpdesks, I agree with Jason's advice. I have been on the receiving end of many calls and emails where the "customer" sabotaged all chance of getting the help they needed within the first 20 seconds of getting my attention.
