Rio kills the Chroma?

Did Rio kill the Chroma? Fans of the original Rio Karma (like our own Ryan B.) have been waiting ages for Rio to finally get off their sorry asses and bust out the
Rio Chroma, their new flagship player that was supposedly going to be one-third smaller than the Karma and have a color LCD screen, an SD memory card slot (which would support WiFi SD expansion cards), an FM tuner, and possibly even Bluetooth, but our good friend Austin from DAPreview says in a posting over at Riovolution.com that at one point the Chroma/K2 was for real, but for whatever reason Rio has now abandoned the player and is moving on to another player which might be out sometime in August or September. We better seem some boldness out of Rio right quick, their recent retreat into 2.5GB and 5GB
players isn't cutting it.
