Softeq's Durateq 3100 ruggedized Pocket PC
Softeq recentently introduced the Durateq 3100, a ruggedized Pocket PC based on an HQ iPAQ unit set to launch in September. For $899 you'll get a 3.5-inch TFT, a 300MHz Samsung S3C 2440 processor (or 400MHz with an optional upgrade), and 56MB user available memory (upgradable to 152MB). It also comes with built-in 802.11 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth,
a rugged 6-pin docking connector for charging, and secured SD and CF card slots to prevent tampering. Softeq says the device has extended battery life for "day long performance." Looks like both Softeq and HP will be marketing this when it streets this fall.
