Philips "No Kidding" wearables help parents track kids under the guise of fun and games

There is no shortage of kid trackers out there, but Philips wanted to get on the action, wearable-style. The "No Kidding" garment delivers kid positioning to parents via mobile phone and camera technology, and (supposedly) delivers fun to kids at the same time using fabric antennas, RFID tagging, and miniature remote cameras to enable game play outdoors. Identity chips representing created characters can be attached to the clothing, enabling kids to see another child's representative character on a screen embedded in the garment. As the kids move, so do their characters move on the screens. Philips says this enables some new hide and seek possibilities, but doesn't the whole position tracking thing kinda kill the ability to hide?
