MobiNote's DP7010-SP
We thought maybe that MobiNote had given up on the portable video player game, but no way, they're totally bullish on its future, declaring in their latest press release announcing the the DP7010-SP that "Following the heat of the MP3 player, the MP4 player as a PMP will surely become the next start consumer electronics." Yo, it doesn't get any more enthusiastic than that, does it?
Anyway, despite that enthusiasm, the DP7010-SP isn't all that much to get worked up about. It's essentially a slightly improved version of the DVX-POD 7010 we reviewed last year, only it now comes in black and has built-in speakers that we can't see ourselves using all that much (still has that nice, large 7-inch LCD screen, though). They've also added some DRM stuff, but we generally don't classify that sort of thing as an improvement. Comes in 20GB and 40GB versions.
