News.com, like, totally sure Apple to Drop IBM

News.com is reporting that according to reliable sources, his Steveness will stride onto the WWDC Stevenote stage and shock us all by announcing Apple's switch to Intel based processors. The switch will be gradual with the Mac mini being the first Mac slated to use an Intel chip in mid 2006 with the PowerMac's joining them in mid-2007 (and I assume that the iBook would go in 2006, the Powerbook in 2007).

The WWDC is the perfect place to announce such a thing, but I still have my doubts. This is a major change, and Apple is on a roll at the moment. I won't believe it until Steve himself says it.
